Masonry
Hardscaping and retaining walls
Front entrances, patios, steps and armour stone walls, set on a base built to hold its line through every freeze and thaw.
Masonry - Hardscape - Design
Your vision. Brought to life.
Natural stone, custom carpentry and full exterior renovations for homes across Halton Hills, Burlington, Oakville and Guelph.
What we build
Four trades, one crew, one standard of finish.
Carpentry
Custom timber work
Planter boxes, privacy screens, decks and fencing, cut and finished on site.
Softscape
Softscape
Curated beds, trees and lawn that soften the architecture and give the property something new every season.
Terrain
Excavation
We shape the ground first, so water leaves the property instead of sitting against the foundation.
Most people spent the long weekend relaxing.
We spent it rebuilding this front yard from the grade up. New walkway, armour stone wall, river rock beds and a full driveway.

How we work
No surprises between the handshake and the handover.
Every project runs the same way, whether it is a set of front steps or a full exterior rebuild.
Walkthrough
We meet you on site, look at how water moves across the property, and talk through what you want the space to do.
Design and quote
You get a clear plan, material choices you can actually see, and one itemised price with no moving parts.
Build
One crew from excavation to final sweep. The base is built properly because that is the part you never get to see again.
Handover
We walk the finished job with you, clean the site down, and tell you exactly how to look after it through the first winter.

Building excellence, outside-in
With eight years of hands-on experience in the trades, I founded Blacksmoke Contracting on a simple principle: exterior renovations should be as durable as they are beautiful.
My approach combines the grit of site work with the precision of high-level management. As a Project Management Institute licensed professional, I ensure that every project, from grass to full exterior overhauls, is executed with logistical efficiency and a clean, modern aesthetic. I don’t just build; I manage the details so you don’t have to.

What our clients say.
“We had waited a long time to change our front yard. Last summer it was our front porch, but the yard was still lacking curb appeal. Blake and his team produced outstanding work, throughout the entire process. Does not matter the size of the project, it is treated with the same respect and attention to detail as a larger one! We highly recommend Blacksmoke Contracting for excellent results!”
