Every photo here is a Blacksmoke job, built by the same crew that quoted it. Owner Blake Cole runs each project himself, from the first site walk and design to the excavation, the base and the final sweep, so the finished work matches what was planned. Hardscaping and retaining walls

Interlock and natural stone patios, front walks, slab walkways set in gravel, armour stone steps and retaining walls, each built on a compacted crushed-stone base sloped to shed water.

Carpentry

Cedar privacy fences, timber pavilions with finished ceilings, pergolas and raised beds, cut and finished on site and set on posts below frost depth.

Softscape

Garden beds, boxwood hedges, ornamental grasses, young trees and fresh mulch that soften the stonework and give the yard something new every season.

Excavation

Dug-out pads, graded yards and drainage channels: the groundwork that decides whether a patio stays flat and water leaves the foundation.

Design work

Projects that start as a site plan and a 3D design, so you see the layout, materials and grading before the ground is broken.
